Join us Monday June 13 at 7 pm at Sanford City Hall to hear a Master Plan Update regarding the Downtown Waterfront Catalyst Site.
The development group will give a presentation to the City Commission at their June 13th regular meeting, which begins at 7PM. The presentation will focus on the proposed master plan the group has developed for the site. There will be images in the presentation of different building types. It is important to note that these images are placeholders only, and are for illustrative purposes to explain the master plan concepts. The images shown will NOT reflect the design of the actual buildings proposed for the project. The site-specific architecture has not been developed as of yet; that would be premature, since the master plan has not been reviewed/approved.
The team will take the commission (and the citizens) block by block through their proposed master plan. They will also discuss the market analysis that has been undertaken over the past several months, and explain their professional assessment of what is best suited for the site and market conditions. If all concepts are amenable, there will be further negotiations between the City and their group. The architectural design will follow after all that has been agreed upon.
